Panair Do Brasil DC-8 model

Rio De Janeiro based Panair Do Brasil operated a fleet of four Douglas DC-8-33s in the early 1960s. Two of the aircraft were delivered new from the Douglas factory in 1961, and two were acquired from Pan American in 1962/63.

Within a few years the Panair DC-8 fleet was gone, as two were absorbed into VARIG, one was returned to Pan American, and one aircraft was lost in an accident at Rio in 1962.
