THY Turkish Airlines 1970s scheme DC-8 model

Istanbul based THY Turkish Airlines never did operate the Douglas DC-8, but in the 1960s the airline did examine the possibility of operating the type on its long haul services.

Turkish Airlines settled on the Boeing 707 as the long haul aircraft type for its early 1970s fleet. However, we created this specially commissioned model in a proposal THY 1970s livery for a private aircraft model collector, and repeat client.

You can now order your your own exclusively produced 1/50th scale cast aluminum model in most airline liveries. We require a deposit at time of order, and please allow eight weeks for the completion of your model.

Scale: 1/50th / length: 36 inches / wingspan: 33 inches / supplied with stand and shipping crate.
