Vancouver-based CP Air operated a fleet of five Douglas DC-8-43 aircraft on domestic and international long haul services between 1961 and 1981. CP Air’s DC-8-43s were frequently seen in Amsterdam, Mexico City, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Frankfurt, Honolulu, and various cities in Canada.
Delivered new from the Douglas factory in CF-CPF, -CPH, -CPI, -CPJ and -CPG, the fleet was retired in 1980/81 and ferried down to Miami where they were soon after reduced to scrap.

This early 1960s livery was recently commissioned as a custom model by a customer in France.
This custom THY Turkish DC-8 model was completed in September, 2013 for a private collector. THY considered DC-8s in the early 60s.

NOTE TO CUSTOMERS: Our initial production run of the first 20 models is now completely SOLD OUT. We will need order commitments of at least 7 models before we can proceed with a second production batch of 20. If you would like to commit to one of these tentative models we will require a $500 deposit per model, which we will refund if we are unable to secure 7 orders within a 1 year period.
